PAGCOR Corruption Allegations Rumored in Philippines, as Pastor Boy Saycon Strikes Once Again
PAGCOR, the Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corporation, is being accused of corruption after Pastor Boy Saycon turned over evidence to the country’s Department of Justice.
If Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is convinced former PAGCOR officials involved in graft, he’ll likely pursue the ousted gaming officials towards the fullest extent associated with the legislation ( or possibly a bit more).
Saycon is no ordained leader that is religious but the secretary-general of the Council of Philippine Affairs. He is apparently provided documents to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre that shows engaging that is PAGCOR bribery as well as other illegal techniques. The allegations stem from before President Rodrigo Duterte took office.
Though Aguirre let news outlets in the Southeast Asian country know which he certainly had been delivered documents detailing potential illicit activity, he refused to name names into the report or expand on the possible crimes. ‘I shall still have to study the documents,’ Aguirre explained.
However, in accordance with the Philippine frequent Inquirer, high-level officials in the previous administration failed to properly disclose efforts and expenditures.
PAGCOR is a federal agency that is underneath the president’s oversight. Upon taking control of the nation in July, Duterte replaced the five-member board with his own appointees.
